A Dining Room Table is Choosen!
Over the weekend, Lee and I went shopping….for tools for Lee.
I brought my phone so I could text my friends while I sat in the back of the store as Lee browsed and touched every single object in the store.
After he shopped until his heart’s content, he and I went to get sheets, towels and picture frames.
Then Lee saw a furniture store and wanted to look for our dining room set. I’ve been looking with friends for almost six months for “THE TABLE.” We decided we wanted counter height table for the dining room. Most of the counter height tables are made for a kitchen and are square-shaped. We needed a large table for family and friends. I looked online, in stores, high and low – no such table. I thought about getting one made.
Lee and I went into one store. Lee saw “THE TABLE” and after we sat at it for three minutes, he went to get the salesman to write up the order BECAUSE IT WAS THE TABLE. I sat at the table and realized tears were streaming down my face. This is going to be “THE TABLE” where our life and celebrations happen.
It’s being delivered on Saturday. I’m overwhelmingly excited and feel like a kid waiting for Santa Clause. I didn’t think that super excited feeling was possible as an adult.
