Prayer – even when you don’t feel like it
Edit: Just wanted to add that this does work. it’s so hard to do at first because who wants to pray for someone who isn’t good at the moment?
Jesus prayed for the hypocrits. Sometimes this isn’t easy to do. I’m trying. I know I need to pray for someone I don’t want to today more for myself than for them. I know I need to forgive and forget. But I’m mad right now so it will have to wait.
Hugs,
marlene

Hey, Queen of the Click! Read your blog! I’m from Brooklyn, too. You wouldn’t be “dissing” McCarren Park now, would you? ;^) I grew up down the block from there! In fact, in eighth grade we cleaned up the park for “earth day” and had our picture in the Greenpoint Gazzette showing off our catholic uniforms and rakes and shovels! What a hoot! Haven’t been back in a few – but drive through there occasionally to see how many more Pollacks moved in. I’m Polish born and raised. Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Loved it, still do. Was so glad to see we made your list! And by the way, Brooklyn isn’t the only thing we have in common – I love and use “Lovely” by SJP, too. Most all things on your Brooklyn list I’ve enjoyed as well. Glad to have another Brooklyn Girl around. Sounds like you and I alone can keep Brooklyn alive and well forever! My daughter’s a Brooklyn Girl through me – I tell her she has Brooklyn blood in her and be “strong like bull”; after all, she’s a Brooklyn Girl! Thanks for the memories! Be well.

If we depended on our feelings, what a mess we’d be in. I sometimes think that our emotions are a tool of the devil keeping us from communicating with the Lord. Great advice!
