18th Avenue Feast 2011 CANCELLED
FOR 2012 – THE FESTA OR FEAST OF SAINT ROSALIE IS ON. (Some call it the Italian Bensonhurst Brooklyn Feast)
The Santa Rosalia Feast or otherwise known as the 18th Avenue Feast is on. It has not been cancelled.
August 24 to Sept. 3rd on 18th Avenue between 67th to 75th streets! Come celebrate!
The 2011 Feast of Santa Rosalia is off – it has been cancelled because:

The Feast of St. Rosalia or better known by Brooklynites as the 18th Avenue Feast was suppose to take place from August 25th to September 4th. It’s on 18th Avenue from 68th to 75th Street in Bensonhurst. St. Rosalia is the patron saint of Palermo

Too bad, I miss the fried calamari, sausage & peppers, rigged peel-off chance tickets, paying $5 to toss 3 balls at some silly target to win a 50cent stuffed panda…
When I crave a sausage & pep hero, and I am in Northern Queens—Rego Park, to be exact. I head
to Woodhaven Blvd & 67th Dr.[cemetery side]. There is a sausage trailer, as well as a hot dog trailer. Monday thru Saturday from 10:30AM til early evening. I think it is one of concessions at the feast.

Does the West Indian Festival have all the paperwork that was imposed on the Bensonhurst St rosalia feast? Is there liability ins and if so who pays for it? This is a tradition long before the West Indian one. Something smells here.
